Waiting for Tax Time

We are still waiting to receive all our tax W-2's and 1099's. We are curious to see how we do when we file our taxes. We normally do it online. I still don't quite understand this tax thing yet, but I'm learning. It's nice to receive a refund though. My husband said the goal is to have a zero balance, but I prefer refunds than paying. Anyway, we are waiting patiently for our last one.

Miami Job Search

My online friend is looking for work. She lost her job because of the business closing. She is yet another victim of the recession. My husband suggested she do a Miami Job Search online since that is where she lives. Many employers post the openings online now. It helps keep down the cost. She thought that was a great idea.

Today is a special Sunday for all the Saints Fans. They get to watch their team play NFC Championship. They have only been here once and lost to Chicago. Hopefully, they will make it to the Superbowl for the first time. However, I'm not trying to slight the Minnesota fans either. We are just pulling for our home team.

Heated Blanket

The other night I slept on the sofa because our room was too cold. I told my husband that he was snoring to loud, but then I told him that the room was it’s too cold. He suggested that I look for and buy a heated blanket. Since I’m from the Philippines, I really never heard of them before. So I decided to go online and see how much one would cost.

50 Years

Last night we celebrated my husband's uncle 50th wedding anniversary. It is hard to believe that they have been married for 50 years. It was a catered event and the food was very good. It was the first time that we used an outside baby sitter too. We usually let my mother-in-law baby sit. but she was at the party. It was great to get away on a date with hubby. Anyway, happy anniversary to my husband's Uncle and Aunt.

I’m still looking online at acne cleansers for my friend online. The latest website I have found is www.acnefacewash.org. I’m trying to find a new product for my friend because her old one stopped being effective. It’s nice that someone has put together all the research for me. It really helps make it easier to suggest a good product. Now I just have to get my friend back over here to my house.

Xbox360

My husband is crazy playing his games. He loves his games and spends a good bit of time playing his XBOX. I can't complain because I spend a good bit of time playing my games and sitting here at the computer. I'm sure if the boys follow their father that they will be active gamers too. Now if we can just fit household chores in there somewhere maybe everything will be all right.

Zencore

I have been checking out a men’s blog that reviews different male only products. They have reviewed many different things from longevity creams to male enhancement products. I didn’t know such products existed. Anyway, I was reading about zencore so I can learn. Just don’t tell anyone that I’ve been on a male only blog. I still want my husband to believe that I am naïve.

It started raining this evening and so far we have not had the Thunderstorms that were predicted. Thank God! I hate it when we lose electricity. The kids get frightened too. Well, maybe not the baby because he is too young to understand. I'm glad we decided to eat out. I'm too tired to cook.

Adult Acne Treatment

My friend is suffering from acne and we are looking online for an adult acne treatment. She has suffered from this condition since she was a teenager. She has good days and bad days, but now it seems like she really needs to find a different acne treatment. Her old one isn’t working anymore. So we are doing a little research while we are enjoying each others company.

Before I always asking myself, if my favorite actor planned to make another new movie. So now finally I know the answer and I’m glad, but I'm also sad to say that I can’t watch it. The reason why is it's complicated; no one can watch my kids and we don‘t always need to depend on my Mother-in-law. My husband and I really miss many movies now, but we don‘t have choice. He told me that I can go alone, but I don’t like it and wouldn't enjoy it. So it means we will just have to buy or rent a DVD so we will watch here. I’m sure soon our DVD cabinet will be full lol.

It’s hard to write about this post because I don’t want to offend a family member. It’s a sensitive subject for them so I will not use their name. They were asking me for a good hemorrhoid cream. I told them that I don’t know because I never had them before. So they asked me to go online and do a little research for them. I found a website that rated the top[ three. Now all I have to do is inform them.

Stressing

For some reason, my husband and I have been stressing more out lately. I'm trying to figure out why. The kids are behaving the same, so I don't see that being the problem. I started working so maybe that has caused the extra stress. Working has put pressure on us the find a second car. I Thank God that we have a car already, but a second car would be very helpful.

Tired

We are just plain tired. I'm looking forward to when the baby can sleep the whole night. He still wakes up a couple of times in the night looking for milk. Today we tried to jump start the economy. It seems like everything we plan to save money something comes up to get it. Ohhh, well I guess that's life! Time to go wash some clothes, feed the kids, prepare their bath. No wonder we are tired!

Graduation Announcements

It’s getting to be that time of the year when all the students are starting to think about sending their graduation announcements. We have two that will graduate in our family this year. One will graduate high School and the other will graduate college with a bachelors degree. I just advised them to shop online so they can find the perfect one for them.

Rainy Sleepy Saturday

It's raining here this Saturday, so it makes us all so sleepy. Everyone except the baby. You know when the parents want to sleep or feel bad that is when they have most of their energy. We had something to do today, but with the three day weekend, we just blew it off until tomorrow. Hopefully the rain will be out of here by then. Now if Matt will get tired and sleepy, I can go take a nap.

I’m sitting here thinking of where I could find some low cost car insurance. We have been thinking hard about getting a second car because I’m working now. So I’m sitting here looking online to see if we can fit it in our budget. A co-worker has a car for sell and I’m getting different quotes. Ready for the Weekend

After my first full week of work, I'm ready for the weekend. It comes as a three day weekend too. I know the boys are ready for the weekend too! Charles is tired of school and my husband is tired of work. I really want to go see a movie this weekend but as usual daycare will be an issue.

Fitness Equipment

Since I’m working now, I thought that it will help me maintain my weight. In other words, I want be munching because I’m bored. However, I was looking for fitness equipment online and ran across an advertisement for used equipment. I never thought of used equipment before. I guess with all those broken resolutions and freshly bought new equipment has to go somewhere. I’m always looking to save money on the things we buy.

Back To Work

I'm so excited that I'm working that I will post more on this topic. I am working for the local school board as a substitute in food service. It is only part-time, but the lady said that if I do well, I can move to contract. Contract means that I'm permanent part-time with a raise until the end of the school year. As other workers retire and leave then I can transfer full-time with benefits. The best part is when the kids are in school that is when I work and when the kids are out of school I am too. Of course baby Matt is not in school yet, but he visits his granny.

I always thought that mesothelioma was a lung cancer caused by asbestos. It starts in membranes surrounding many of the bodies organs like the stomach or heart. After the cancer starts developing in the membranes, it then moves into the surrounding organ. Mesothelioma never starts in the organ, bit always the membrane. I have been doing a little research because we lost a family member to cancer recently. The only thing I knew about it before that was what I saw on television. It is a horrible disease and if you know somebody suffering form it, I would advise you to do as much research on the topic online.

Working Now

I have been so busy lately, I don't now how to begin. Baby Matt started walking at 9 months. Kuya Charles has been doing well in school. However, some reason he is very confrontational with me. He listens yo his father, but he always wants to try and pick a fight with me. I have started working part-time too. Life has been hectic and we are still trying to work the logistics out because we have only have the one car. Of course i8t still has a few more payments. My husband said that we can buy another once this one is finished being paid. We are making progress!

Sale

I am hoping and praying that this year will be a better year for our economy. Since it is a New Year, we are excited about the prospects and chances for me finding work this year. Another area we are trying to save money by shopping wiser. One way I save money is by buying things on sale or using coupons.

Back To Normal

Our house is trying to get back to normal from the holidays. The husband is back to work full time. He was getting used to the short work weeks. The eldest will be starting back to school. He has enjoyed his break, but I think we are both ready for him to go back to school. Winter has finally arrived. It will get down into the teens tonight and tomorrow. My husband said that it has been a few years since that it has been that cold here. I'm still hoping and wishing for Snow!

Life Insurance

We decided to move on buying some life insurance. I had to come to the conclusion that it’s a necessary evil. I’m sorry, it’s just a subject I don’t like talking about like I have posted before. I know it’s for the best overall. Maybe I don’t like the subject because I have seen to many movies that get people killed for the money. However, it is only the movies.

The VA Hospital

My husband did go to the VA Hospital early Saturday morning. He woke up with a sore throat and his uvula was swollen so big. He said that he was the 4th person there and that it shouldn't take long. They carried the first three people back quickly. At that point other people came in and my husband new he was next. He was next until he saw the ambulance arrive and that was when the three hour wait begin. They only had one doctor and had to call another doctor in, so what started as a quick trip turned into a half day ordeal.

Free Life Insurance Quote

My husband and I have been sitting and discussing our future. We have been thinking about buying life insurance. So I have been online trying to get a free life insurance quote. I would sleep better knowing that if something bad tragic happened that the family would be OK. However, it really spooks me to think about such things. My husband just laughs and says that maybe I’m a little superstitious.

Happy New Year to all my online friends. Hopefully your New Year will be great and full of Blessings. I hope to be working soon myself. My husband will finally go to the doctor tomorrow. He will go to the VA Hospital to see if they can help him with his sinus infection. He has had a cough more than a month. He just can't seem to kick his allergies. Charles has finally got well after his visit with the Ears, Nose and Throat Doctor. Thank God!
