Ready for the Weekend

We are ready for the weekend! Last week we had major changes to everyone's schedule. Charles started school. My husband had to adjust his work schedule by thirty minutes so he can drop Charles off at school. His Pre-K school is out of district, so there is no bus service for us. Toys

I have been observing baby Matt lately. I noticed that he really doesn’t like baby toys. He likes his big brothers toys. My husband joked that baby Matt already thinks he is a big boy. He is more interested in Fire Engines and balls than rattles and plastic keys. Now that I am on the subject of toys, it reminds me that Christmas is peeking around the corner and maybe we need to get started shopping early.

Last pic is Charles waiting to go inside the cafeteria. It is part of the curriculum (mandatory) to eat breakfast and lunch in the Pre-K program. Normally we would feed him breakfast at home which we will start next year when goes to Kindergarten.

My husband has been looking online for a decent life insurance quote. As all my friends know, I really hate thinking about someone needing life insurance. First Day of School

Charles had his first day at school today. He was so excited that he could hardly contain himself which his teacher noted. However, we all survived and he came home trying to explain all the things that he learned. What he learned was mostly the rules. We told the teacher that Charles has a strong will and she joked that she did too. Now it's Friday and he is so sad that he can not go back in the morning. We told him to enjoy the weekend.

Auto Insurance Quote

I have been looking online to see if I could get a good auto insurance quote. We have been looking for ways to trim our budget and save money. In the past, my husband has been very loyal to every company that he has conducted business with over time. He set’s back and watches the same company give great deals to entice new business, but they never reward loyalty. What a novelty concept! So we decided to shop around and see if we can save money on good auto insurance.

Going to Toledo Bend

We are going to the lake this weekend to check out the camp. We would love to fish, but since we gave up the Ranger for the mini-van, we don't have the ability to launch the boat in the water yet. We plan to install a hitch to pull a trailer, but we haven't done that yet, We are going to work on the camp and see what needs to be repaired. My husband plans to cut the grass. I plan to clean the inside. It never hurts to just get away from it all.

Ping Pong Table

We have been trying to make a game room in our house. I guess it would really need to be called an entertainment room. I’m looking online trying to find a ping pong table. I believe that a ping pong table would put the finishing touch to our room. I’m sure my husband would prefer a pool table. Maybe we can compromise and find room for both?

To The Bank

I believe we are going to take the money in the kids piggy banks and go establish a savings account for them. It isn't a whole lot of money, but it is something to try and start them off with a good future. We have been discussing this for some time now. I hope we will have time to do this on Friday.

Lighting

Our neighbor across the street has been buying houses and remodeling them. He normally sells them, but other times he keeps and rents them. He was looking for lighting the other day. He said that is all he needs to put his last project up for sell. I asked him did he ever think about ordering some of his fixtures online. I think that I gave him an idea that just might help him save some money.

Hopefully No More Rain for Today

It started raining last Sunday. It rained almost every day the past week except Friday. I'm not complaining because it keeps the temperatures lower and the AC doesn't have to work as hard. It also means lower electric bills. Before it started raining, we were having an above average and extremely hot summer. Now my husband hopes that it will stop for just a little while just long enough so he can cut the grass. It's time to prepare for church so I hope to get back online later.
